Apple’s September 1st event : iPods, iTV and ?
Apple’s big fall event is about to happen. On September 1st, we should expect to see some goodies from everyone’s favourite fruit company. Traditionally, the fall event is when Apple announces a new or updated range of their iPod music and media players. The question is, what else would they be announcing?
We have heard a few rumours about the upcoming iPod line. Will there be a new iPod touch with a camera? Will there be a new generation of iPod nanos that will replace the current generation as well as the smaller entry level iPod shuffles?

The big question is whether Apple is finally ready to revamp the Apple TV. A new $99 device the size of an iPhone 4 sounds too good to be true. But it does make sense, and Apple can’t really expect the Apple TV to sell after all these years with no upgrades.

An entry-level, minimalistic iTV device would definitely sell well, especially if it’s coupled with cheap TV show and movie rentals (99 cents each) and perhaps a music streaming service. It has been some time since Apple bought over (and closed down) Lala, so that could make an appearance.
What I would really like to see is something more probable – a software update that will bring iOS 4 (maybe iOS 4.1) to the iPad.
