Apple has released their latest financial reports for the previous quarter ending June 30th, 2007. Alongside record shipping figures for Macs and iPods, Apple revealed the number of iPhones they sold on June 29th and June 30th : 270,000 units. Considering that Apple only released the iPhone for sale at 6pm on June 29th, and only a few Apple Stores are open for 24 hours, this is a very impressive number indeed.

Is the Apple iPhone really that much more expensive than a Treo 680 smartphone? There are many ways to look at the issue. PalmAddict Associate Writer TjL chimes in, and shows that in the long run, the iPhone could in fact be cheaper than a Treo 680.
